Do you take bookings outside of Manchester?

We are based in Timperley in Cheshire and our standard prices relate to vehicle hire within a 15 mile radius from our WA15 postcode. However, we are happy to take bookings from the all over the North West. If you require us to travel outside of our radius range,  the price will reflect the requirements of the booking.

Can I drive?

Bruce the VW camper van is chauffeur driven only. We take away the stress of driving, allowing you to enjoy every moment of your day.

How much will my booking cost?

All of our bookings are priced individually to accommodate each of our customers requirements that are unique to them, therefore price is on application. So please contact us for a free no obligation quote!

Will I have to pay a deposit?

Yes, a non-refundable deposit of 15% of the total booking fee is required to secure the booking.  If the booking is made under 28 days prior to the event then the full balance must be paid.   We will hold bookings without a deposit for a maximum of 5 working days, but after this period it will be assumed that our services are not required and the date will be made available for hire again.

When do I have to pay the balance of my booking?

The balance is required at least 28 days prior to the date of the event.  We currently take payments by cash or cheque only.

Can we come to see the camper van?

We are always happy to have visitors or we can bring Bruce the VW camper van to you. Appointments to view our camper van can be made during the week and on some weekends (we may be busy on some Saturdays!). You will be made to feel very welcome, as we know how exciting but stressful it can sometimes be to plan a wedding! Please note viewing is strictly by prior arrangement.

Will you confirm my booking?

We will confirm your booking within 24 hours by email.  We like to keep our customers fully informed at every step of the way, as we find this is helps avoid any possible misunderstandings. We welcome correspondence and calls from our customers too, as we want to make the process as stress-free as possible!

Can we have more than one journey in the camper van?

Bruce our VW camper van is hired for a period of up to 3 hours and includes up to 3 trips depending on the distances involved.  The camper van can carry up to 5 passengers per journey. If a shorter or longer period of hire is required, please ask us for a quote based on your requirements.

Will there be time to have photographs taken?

We know that photo opportunities are extremely important at your wedding, therefore we are highly flexible and give time prior to the wedding ceremony and after the ceremony for photographs to be taken. We will always do our best to work with your chosen photographer, manoeuvring Bruce the VW camper van to get the perfect shot, something we are well practiced in. We provide chilled water and either champagne or your choice of alternative drinks for during your photographs, and also have large white umbrellas and sun parasols, to cover all weather possibilities!

Will I get my dress in the camper van?

Bruce the VW camper van has more than ample space for any style of wedding dress. We take great care to ensure that our brides arrive looking as beautiful when they get out of  the camper van as they do when they get in, and Emma will be on hand to help you on the day!

What if the camper van breaks down on the day?

Our camper van is regularly serviced and checked to ensure that this eventuality does not become a reality. For peace of mind we are covered with the AA, and if the camper van is not available we will do everything we can to find a substitute vehicle, however this may not always be possible.  If a suitable alternative vehicle cannot be provided, a full refund will be made. We would recommend that couples consider wedding insurance to cover these possibilities.

Do you allow children to travel in the camper van?

The law regarding children and seatbelts can be confusing, so please read the information below carefully, which shows the information relevant to our camper van.  If you have any questions please contact us.
  •  Children aged 0 - 12 years, or up to 1.35m (4ft 5in) in height - The correct safety seats for the child's weight have to be used in vehicles.
There are three exceptions, when adult belts must be used if the correct child restraint isn't available:
  • In a taxi or hire car
  • For a short journey due to unexpected necessity
  • Where two occupied child restraints prevent a third being fitted, in which case an adult belt should be used if available
Children aged 13 or over, or passengers with height over 1.35m (4ft 5in) - Seat belts must be worn, and we cannot carry more people than there are seats fitted with belts or restraints. We do not provide any baby or child seats, so if you have children who will be travelling as part of you group, please ensure you can provide the seats on the day. Please inform us in advance so we can take this into account with the seating arrangements in the camper van, as most baby and childrens seats will only be secure with the 3 point seat belts.  The rear seat in the camper van has 2 lap belts and one space without a seat belt, and the 2 removable seats also have lap belts. Please note that by law it is the drivers responsibility, to check that children under 14 are safely restrained.  Please do not be offended if we insist that the seat belts are worn correctly, as we only have your safety in mind.

        

What would happen in extreme weather conditions?

We will always do our best to provide our services in all weather conditions.  However, we cannot accept liability in the event of extreme weather conditions and absolute impossible driving conditions which disable the operation of Bruce the VW camper van. It is advisable to ensure you have wedding insurance for any eventuality.

What if we need to make a cancellation?

We appreciate that sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances customers do need to cancel bookings.  As set out in our terms and conditions we do not refund deposits. However, if the full balance has been paid 12 weeks prior to the booking date then we will refund 100% of this amount minus the deposit (subject to terms and conditions). If a cancellation is made 6-12 weeks prior to the booking date, we will refund 50% of the amount pain minus the 15% deposit.  After the 6 week cut off period then no refund will be offered. We advise that you arrange wedding insurance to cover these possibilities.
